  • mediation
  • claims with the Employment Relations Authority

What is harassment?

Behaviour directed at an individual that is repetitive, unwelcome, insulting, abusive, intimidating, offensive or belittling. Harassing behaviour may be minor in nature, too trivial to warrant attention, but over time can lead to stress and other negative affects.

You may find yourself the subject of hostile verbal and/or nonverbal communication and interfering actions which guarantee your failure.

It must not be confused by negative feedback given based on performance objectives

What are your rights?

Harassment claims can be brought about under the Employment Relations Act 2000, or under the Human Rights Act 1993

An Employee who is not provided with minimum employment entitlements or is treated unfairly may bring about a personal grievance which may lead to compensation or a penalty to the Employer

If your employment is terminated unfairly, you may be reinstated and/or receive compensation

What will it cost?

Well, that depends on the case. If you call or email to give me a brief outline of the situation, I can talk you through the options for resolving the issue and give a rough indication of cost.
